Why Paper Is Hot While Your Laser Printer Prints It Out?

You can feel hot after the paper is printed out from your laser printer, as before that, the paper pass through the fuser assembly, there is a pair of fuser rollers within the fuser assembly to apply heat and pressure to fuse the toner particles onto the paper fiber.

The toner is transferred from the drum to the paper and form text and images, but that is not the last printing process, as the toner particles are still loose and easy to take off from the paper, so that need to pass through be fuser rollers to melt the powder and fix it on the paper, the upper roller sometimes we call upper fuser roller has a piece of heating element to generate heat, and there is a lower pressure roller below to press and make it more tight.
