Difference Between Fuser Unit & Maintenance Kit

Printer fuser assembly, as known as fuser kit or fuser unit, it's the component that works with heat and pressure to melt and fix the toner particle onto the paper, such type of part need to repair or replace when your printer has printed out certain amount of pages.

In addition to the fuser unit, there are other interchangeable parts that need to replace and are available on the market, such as pickup roller, separation roller, separation pad and transfer roller. Many manufacturers pack a whole set of these parts and sell them together, we usually call them as maintenance kit.


Nowadays, maintenance kit is very popular solution for the printer users to maintain their printers, but there are many products by different producers on the market, so sometimes we need to pay particular attention to the quality you get from them, though good quality kit is a little more expensive, but durable and long run can low down your page cost.

Previous part we talked about disassemble the fuser unit on the HP LaserJet P2005, this time I'd like to show you how to reassemble this component.
